Thank you for your patience as we worked with our providers in restoring our phones and internet. It has now been fully restored throughout the District.
We will continue to keep our emergency phone lines open until the end of the day today -- along with our main land lines.
Thank you again for your continued support in our District.

GCJ2 phone lines and internet are currently down in both buildings due to the network provider. We presume that it will continue to be out throughout Monday, as well. If you are in need of assistance, please email our Administrative Assistants who will have internet access to email at school:
BES: Carey Denecke Carey.Denecke@gcj2.k12.wi.us
BMS: Amanda Springer Amanda.Springer@gcj2.k12.wi.us
Or, call our emergency phone lines that are monitored during regular business hours while our phone lines are down:
BES: 262-949-3491
BMS: 262-949-1806
Thank you for your understanding and patience at this time. We will update you once these systems are restored.

Kindness in the classroom! Last week, during BES Kindness Week, students from 4K - 3rd grade were learning about kindness in all corners of the school - in their classrooms, in guidance class, in PE and science class. Students truly enjoyed learning about kindness in all sorts of different ways!
Way to be kind, Mustangs!!

We hope you’re able to swing by our art hallways in both buildings tomorrow during our Parent/Teacher Conferences!! These pictures don’t do justice!
See you at Parent/Teacher Conferences at both buildings. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher. 2/29 BES: 3:45-7:15 // BMS 3:00-7:00

Please give a warm Brookwood welcome to Ms. Stolzman and Ms. Burgeson!! They may look familiar to many of you because we were fortunate to have them both as student teachers since the beginning of the school year. Now, Ms. Stolzman is joining our team as a daily sub in both buildings and Ms. Burgeson is our long-term substitute in our elementary school's special education department. We are SO lucky to have such committed professionals continue to Grow into Greatness with our Brookwood Family.

GCJ2 No School: March 1st

What a busy day for our teachers with training and collaborating!!! See you tomorrow, Mustangs!

Today the Elementary school kicked off Kindness Week with an awesome assembly! The students learned about what a random act of kindness is - ask your student about their Random Act Of Kindness challenge for tomorrow (Random Act Of Kindness Day)! Grade levels got to share what their grade level service projects are, Kindness Squad taught the rest of the school their kindness chant and we of course had lots of fun with "minute to win it" games!
Click this link to see an album of pictures and videos from their assembly today: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1z1tja0XBVeIObnNDCige06nbMeQZ-n2U?usp=sharing

This week during BES Kindness Week, each grade level brainstormed and came up with a service project. The students are very excited about spreading kindness this week. Along with their service projects, students will be immersed in kindness within their classroom doing fun and academic activities, in guidance they will be learning more about kindness and random acts of kindness, in PE they will be learning about being kind to their bodies and in science they will be learning about being kind to animals and nature. Don't forget about dress up days - classrooms will get points for the number of students who dress up! Random Acts of Kindness Day sheets are due back on Tuesday, we can't wait to see what your family did for Random Acts of Kindness Day tomorrow!! It's going to be a great week of kindness at BES!! Here are some students sharing what their grade level is doing for their kindness week service project! Thank you to all the families who have helped donate items to make their service projects successful.

Hello Heart Heroes:
Kids’ Heart Challenge is coming to an end. Registrations and donations are due tomorrow! Please remember to make your final online donations. Make one more push for donations tonight and ask donors if their companies match donations.
We only need 8 more students to register in order to get our school an extra $500 in recess and P.E. equipment.
We've been having a blast getting healthier and helping kids with special hearts!

In a joint effort by music and physical education, the BES students participated in a cardio drumming unit. Students learned the rhythmic aspects of the songs in both classes while also working out. Favorites of the students include Starships, Funkytown, and The Wellerman. Students also learned a little about the history of The Wellerman, a song that became especially famous after it was posted on Tic Tok during the pandemic. This is a unit that is especially fun for students and teachers alike. Our 2nd and 3rd graders were then able to put on a special performance for the rest of our elementary students! We hope you enjoy this recording of their performances: https://youtu.be/ADWQf4i565I

We had such a nice turnout for our first Family Cardio Drumming last week. Thank you so much to all those that joined in for some rhythm, dancing, and drumming! This unit has become a favorite at the Elementary School!!
