Being a part of our Brookwood Family is pretty awesome but making that transition into our staff is even MORE AWESOME…!! Please help us welcome Nicole Erickson to our Brookwood staff! You’ll be seeing her at our middle school working as a paraprofessional with our students and staff. The Erickson’s live right here in Genoa City with her kids Rylan and Reid who attend school at the elementary! Her awesome husband, Ryan, works for Gordon Food Service delivering food around the area. She attended college at MCC and the National-Louis University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently working on getting her teaching certificate for the state of Wisconsin. She may also look familiar to our families because of her work she did at Grace Lutheran Child Development Center in Richmond, IL. where she taught the ages of 6 weeks through 12 years with a majority of her time working with the Terrific Twos! This past year, Erickson had the privilege of coaching Rylan’s soccer team and became an Usborne Book & More consultant too! When not in the classroom, she enjoys reading, listening to music, doing crafts with her kids, snowmobiling, and playing with their new puppy, Raven.
Encouraging children to learn new things is something she strives to achieve. She is excited to work at Brookwood—being able to work where you live and support the growth of the community and where her kids are is important to her. Erickson can’t wait to learn as much as she can from the great teachers at Brookwood.
Welcome to the Brookwood staff, Nicole!

The school district started a new program just before the holidays called Neighbor to Neighbor. The purpose of the program is to connect family volunteers with others within their neighborhood who may be in need of assistance with snow removal, light household tasks, or local errands.
Families who are interested in volunteering can sign up with the school district by contacting Lisa Thompson at 262-279-1053 or emailing her at lisa.thompson@gcj2.k12.wi.us.
The district is working on collecting volunteers, and then will be reaching out to the community to find residents who are in need of assistance. If you are in need of assistance, please reach out to Lisa Thompson as well at 262-279-1053 or emailing her at lisa.thompson@gcj2.k12.wi.us.
