We are SO excited to introduce a few more staff members to our Brookwood Family...you've probably already seen them around the buildings but wanted to do this official shout out to welcome them!! Please give a warm welcome to Fawn Vargas, Andrea Pangburn, and Abbey Svitak!!
Welcome to the Brookwood Family, Mustangs!
7th and 8th Grade Band is busy preparing for Friday's Badger HS Homecoming Parade! The parade kicks off in Lake Geneva at 4:45. We hope to see you there!
Family P.E. Week is next week! Have you contacted Mrs. Brenek and/or Mr. Guth on when your child’s class is? We can’t wait to have you all in the buildings on October 8th and/or 9th!
Not only will you be with Mrs. Brenek and/or Mr. Guth but their student teachers too!
We are so excited to have Mr. Ramirez (BES) and Mr. Anderson (BMS) with us.
Here’s a little more about Mrs. Brenek and Mr. Ramierz:
Mrs. Brenek has been here at Brookwood for 9 years and loves having the opportunity to have a student teacher this year because she gets to share her knowledge with him and learn from him at the same time. She thinks what makes Brookwood great is our sense of community along with our staff, families, and students. Brenek thinks P.E. is the best of the best at Brookwood because it is the only subject where one of the standards is to be responsible and respectful. She believes that all of our students are given the skills to become leaders, team players, and advocates for themselves for life.
Mr. Ramirez is currently attending UW-Whitewater and pursuing a license in Physical Education, Health Education, and Adaptive Physical Education. He chose to pursue these degrees because he has a passion for teaching students health, wellness, and about sports. What he thinks makes Brookwood great is the community involvement and inclusivity. His experience here at Brookwood has showcased to him our awesome staff, awesome students, and awesome environment.
Don’t forget to contact Mrs. Brenek if you have a child or children at our elementary school to find out when they have their P.E. class!

The area’s favorite “Fancy Gas Station” is again showing their generous support for Genoa City Schools with another “PUMP PRIDE” campaign! Through the entire month of October, 2 cents from every gallon of gas sold at pumps 11 & 12 at the Genoa City Travel Center will be donated back to the students of Brookwood Schools! Coordinated by area realtor and community member, Erin Weber, this unique fundraiser provides funding that directly benefits the students through field trips, programming, learning opportunities, and more! Please take a moment to fuel up at the Genoa City Mobil and support local business AND local schools!

BMS Garden Club has been busy harvesting produce to donate to the local food pantry (Loaves & Fishes). On September 11th, the club planted memorial daffodils in honor of 9/11. Club members are learning a lot and also feeling great about doing something important for the community. This pair beautiful pair of sandhills have also been visiting near the garden quite often lately! Many signs that Fall is near -- even though it's been hot and dry. Special thanks for the new garden equipment provided by Mr. & Mrs. Witherill's Homesteading Club. The new tools and bags are awesome and the new hose makes it very easy to water! Thank you to all of our community garden members for all their hard work -- without you, this wouldn't be possible for our students. This has been the best garden yet!
Have you noticed some beautification that has been happening at the sign for the Hunter’s Ridge neighborhood entrance on Meadow Drive? These boys and their grandmother, Candy, have been working on pulling the weeds, pruning the plants, and will eventually install some new plants into this entrance area. They’ve been volunteering their time and have purchased items on their own to keep our community beautiful. We are so thankful they are a part of our Brookwood Family and not only showcase how to Be Brookwood at school, but outside of school, as well!
Also, a HUGE thank you shout out to all of our village workers and community members that also work hard to make Genoa City great…as we all continue to Grow into Greatness.
Way to make us #MustangProud!!
In a world where you can be anything….be kind, be safe, be responsible….
BE BROOKWOOD! 💙
Some of our youngest Mustangs in 4K have been practicing skills, getting to know new friends, and loving the outdoors!
