Brookwood Families, we are SO excited to introduce you all to Andrew Jandron who is a student-teacher intern working with Mrs. Obry and Mrs. Fitzsimmons for the rest of this school year! Jandron is currently attending Capella University and is working on completing his degree in School Counseling. He will be graduating this June to continue his career in education. Jandron's background has a strong passion for working with different focus groups directly related to mental health such as behavioral groups and anxiety/depression groups. His driving passion is being able to work with kids of all backgrounds and experiences. Jandron is not only invested in working with students in the classroom setting but also on the basketball court and on the track field. Jandron's experiences have spanned from upper elementary to high school and he looks forward to expanding his skill set to an even broader range. During his free time, he enjoys reading, playing games, and learning new hobbies.
Mustangs, comment below and let’s give him a big Brookwood Family welcoming! #BrookwoodsBest

There emotions all around us and at times we may not be very good at sharing them with one another. It is important that during this time, we learn about different strategies that may help us share our emotions with one another. Many times, young children may act out or differently from their regular doings because they have some type of emotion they are feeling internally and not know how to share them.
Watch this video and practice with Ms. Amelse to learn about a strategy you can add to your bag about how to share your emotion(s) with a Two Word Check In.
