The week will be filled with fun spirit dress up days, education, and activities. Your child's Spring picture day at Brookwood will be on February 4th. Each grade level will have differing times they will be getting their pictures taken. Brookwood Elementary School is holding a FREE Child Find event on Wednesday, February 23rd. Parents will join their child for a 20 minute appointment where our early childhood team will screen your child for developmental delays. Scan the code with the camera of your phone or call the elementary school to sign up and reserve your time.

Join our BFO in a muffin breakfast on Saturday, February 5th from 9am-1030am at BMS. Must fill out the pre-order form with payment to get a muffin at this event. Mighty will be making a guest appearance with a family photo area. This event is onsite but will have the availability for a curbside pick up as well. All pre-order forms must be returned to school with payment by January 21st.

Join in on the fun at BMS with a community art class on mosaic art! Learn how to create a mosaic art piece with glass, tile, and grout! This is a beginner level class. Each participant will leave with a completed mosaic piece with the theme of the mosaic up to the individual. Open to all ages although children under 12 should attend with an adult. A HUGE thank you to YOU and our BFO. Since the BFO has made a return…each year they’ve decided to purchase and donate something back to the school for school/BFO use. Last year, Mighty the Mustang was purchased and Mighty has made quite a few appearances since then!! This year, the BFO voted for funds to be used to purchase this 20’ inflatable movie screen and its AMAZING. We can’t wait to announce our first movie night so stay tuned. Make sure you take some time to attend our BFO meetings to help support the upcoming events!! They meet the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 @BES Multipurpose Room

GCJ2 is thankful to be able to partner with our school-based mental health service partner Professional Services Group (PSG) to present a FREE informational session to help students and parents during this challenging time. The topic is provided by PSG where questions and discussion is open for participants on Understanding the Effects of the Pandemic on our Children. January 26 @BMS 5:30-6 (Snack/Light Dinner) 6:00-7:00 Parent Presentation *Free childcare will be available during the session*

Science on Saturday is being offered once again to those interested students in grades 3-5! The STEM activities will enrich your child’s love of science and offer physical science, engineering and earth science topics. Learn about the Great Barrier Reef, coral, environmental issues as well as the basics of forces and motion. There will be experiments and projects. Come join the fun!
