Sharing YOUR Greatness!
We ask our Brookwood families to share with us what our Brookwood students and staff are doing outside of school so we can share in your greatness and how #MustangProud we are of your accomplishments!! If you have something to share....email it to Mrs. Xiong at helen.xiong@gcj2.k12.wi.us
Our next sharer of Greatness is Levon from BMS, where over winter break, he was invited to attend a soccer camp in Lisbon, Portugal! He attended practices with professional Benfica coaches and played games against Portuguese and Spanish teams! In addition to soaking in the culture and playing some great futbol, Levon worked on his Portuguese language skills. While in Europe, he also got to meet new friends from around the USA. Visiting Portual was perfect as his favorite national team, besides the US, is Portugal, because he is a huge Ronaldo fan! While his favorite professional team is Arsenal.
Levon’s been playing soccer since he was 7 and has been playing competitively for the last two years. He currently plays for Lindenhurst Area Soccer Club in Illinois and has played with them in tournaments in Orlando and all over Illinois and Wisconsin.
Way to make us #MustangProud, Levon! Keep working hard and keep up those soccer skills!!!
Have something to submit? Email it to helen.xiong@gcj2.k12.wi.us so we can share your greatness!!

This past December, the GCJ2 Families in Need Program supported more than 60 children by providing essentials such as shirts, pants, socks, hats, mittens, snow gloves, and laundry supplies, and assistance. This meaningful support would not have been possible without the INCREDIBLE generosity of those who donated financially and those who chose to adopt a child—thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Because of the kindness of our local community, families also received food bags for winter break from Lakeland Community Church, along with Thanksgiving and winter break food bags from Trinity Church -- along with cold-weather items for our Families in Need Program. We are also deeply grateful to The Lost Sock for their thoughtful donation of coupon codes, helping ease the burden for Families in Need who utilize their facility.
Your compassion and generosity make a real difference! Because of YOU, we are able to help these students with a few basic needs to support their daily attendance to school. Thank you for caring for our students and families in such a powerful way!

🎉 What a great assembly at BMS! 🎉
We celebrated our Be Brookwood Students of the Month, recognized our Character Trait winners for Perseverance, and gave a big shoutout to our Spelling Bee participants for their hard work and courage on stage! 🐝👏 a big shout out to Action Territory for free admission for our character trait winners and TimberRidge for the amazing donation for our big character trait winner!
We also had some laughs previewing next month’s character trait, Honesty, with a little charades to get everyone thinking (and smiling!).
So proud of our Mustangs for continuing to show growth, grit, and character every day! 💙🤍

A successful forensics meet took place on Saturday at Lake Geneva Middle School. Brookwood secured six first-place ribbons, one second-place ribbon, and three third-place ribbons. Everyone showcased exceptional skills and talent. Way to make us #MustangProud!

Our Mustang artists have been hard at work creating a variety of cool things at the middle school. The following 6th, 7th, and 8th grade artworks are just a bit of what you can see in our hallways and display cases. Make sure to check out all the work if you are in the building! Way to be creative, Mustangs!

Due to the extreme cold, Brookwood Schools will be closed on Friday, January 23, 2026. That includes all after-school activities as well as wrap-around care. Stay safe!

Our middle school students had a blast during our rollerskating unit in Personal Wellness Class, building confidence, balance, and perseverance while staying active. It was a great couple of weeks!

Thank you to all those who came out to Family Skate Night!! We had a blast, and we hope you did too!

Thankful for two days with the LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs for supporting our elementary and middle school during this time of profound loss. The LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry is a national, human-care ministry whose specially trained Golden Retrievers and dedicated handlers serve communities during times of crisis, loss, and stress.
The comfort dogs and their dedicated handlers joined us on very short notice, offering a calm, compassionate presence to students and staff as we navigated grief together. Their gentle interactions provided moments of peace, reassurance, and connection—often when words were difficult to find. For many in our community, these small moments of comfort made a meaningful difference.
We are deeply grateful and thankful for their willingness to walk alongside our school community and provide support with such care and kindness. Their presence left a lasting impact on our students and staff, and we will always be appreciative of the comfort they brought during this difficult time. Truly, these small moments of comfort and care made a significant difference for us.
Thank you....thank you.....thank you!!
