Students in first grade have been working hard on their addition strategies! Students practiced their doubles facts by making a flip book and playing a doubles dice game. Doubles aren't trouble for these sharp first graders! #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest

During our BES P.E. classes, our K-3rd graders have been working on rolling, throwing, and catching skills both virtually and in person. They have been experimenting with different implements and targets. So far, the pool noodle has been the implement of choice. #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest

Thank you so much to everyone that participated in the BFO pumpkin decorating contest! Also, a big thank you for Mrs. Horak and Mrs. Nousaine for choosing two winners from each school. They both said it was a tough choice because all the pumpkins were so amazing! #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest

This week, the students at BES enjoyed playing the Boomwhackers. They learned that long Boomwhackers sound lower than short ones. They learned how to play and care for the instruments properly and worked as a group to create a song. Our students had a great time learning and playing this week in music class! #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest

As you are eagerly waiting to enter your conference with your child's teacher, take a few minutes to check out the online book fair! Every purchase also gives money back to our school to support literacy needs. Don't forget about the teacher's wish lists as well! Visit https://www.scholastic.com/bf/brookwoodschools2 to get started!
