We hope you get Brookwood Booked! Our GCJ2 Family Engagement Team is SO excited to share with you our Brookwood Book Bags where our team has filled these special bags with books for YOU. These bags will be dropped off at random Brookwood Family houses and we ask that you and your family pick a book or two to keep to engage in literacy with your child at home. Then in the bag you will find an envelope with window clings in it. Post a window cling on a front window signifying that you've been Brookwood Booked and then pass the bag and clings onto another Brookwood Family's house!! If you aren't sure of a house to drop it off at ---bring it back to either the elementary or middle school and we will get the bag to its next location! If you are the last one to get the bag with a book or two in it...you get a bonus! Keep the bag for yourself!! Thank you for supporting the Family Engagement Team's goal with building relationships and strengthening our connection between the schools and you families to help increase student achievement. At last night's school board meeting, the school board surprised Mr. Braden with this year's "Children's First Award!"
Nominees for this special Board award have made a positive impact on multiple children within the district, either over time or through a single project. Congrats, Mr. Braden and thank you for all you do for the kids of our district!
At last night's school board meeting, students along with Mrs. Horak and Mrs. Garrett hosted a little mini art show for our parents, Board members, and administration. These students were chosen to move on to be showcased at the Walworth County Arts Exhibition which got cancelled. We are proud to be able to have our students showcase their Greatness at our school board meeting. Way to go, Mustangs---way to make us #MustangProud

Who's excited for Fun Fair? Fun Fair starts at 5 pm at Brookwood Middle School this Friday, May 19th. Didn't pre-order wristbands? That's ok! Walk-up wristbands can be purchased for $15 at the event. Tickets can also be purchased for $1 to attempt to dunk your favorite staff member. Please see the schedule below.

BES all school field trip to Green Meadows! Find out more information from your child's teacher or the BES office. May 23rd.
This Friday, our 3rd graders will be venturing up to the middle school to work alongside the 4th graders for the day! Students will come to the middle school from 9:30am to 12:00pm. They will engage in a series of culture building activities, work together in classrooms, and once again eat lunch and go to recess with the current 4th graders. Making sure our Mustangs have a smooth transition from 3rd to 4th grade is a HUGE priority. Getting the lay of the land and building relationships early on is key to making this happen. We are so excited to welcome them into our BMS community!
HUGE thank you to the Brookwood Family Organization —-PTO for the festive decorations and set up this morning to kick off Teacher Apprecaition Week. Thank you to all the families that donated and brought in treats for us today!!! We truly do have the best staff in the Midwest!!!
