We are thankful for our relationships with our local community partners and their support for our schools and families. But you know what else stands out that we’re thankful for?! We’ve got an amazing staff that backs it all too!! Our staff donated monies to go towards purchasing pies for our Genoa City Food Pantry: Loaves & Fishes for their Thanksgiving meal pick ups. We were able to order 47 pumpkins and apple pies and our principals made the delivery today….just in time for the Thanksgiving meal pick up day!!! Interested in more information on the food pantry? Call: 262-203-0979 Thank you to Stinebrink's Lake Geneva Piggly Wiggly for helping us with this purchase!!

What an amazing day to spend with friends working on some science! Students in 3rd and kindergarten spent some time together outside building dinosaur habitats! Students chose teams/partners and collected materials for their habitats. Only a couple of the dinosaurs became extinct. Hopefully the fossils will appear later!

Thankful for the collaboration and opportunities our students have once they get to Badger…but it all starts with us as a K-8 District. Today, our Readiness Team was able to tour Badger’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and classes with their CTE Coordinator Jake Popanda. HUGE thank you to Mr. Popanda for taking time out of his day to spend it with us!! Seeing what Badger has to offer allows us to dig deeper into what we need to showcase and prepare our students for to get them career and community ready. Digging in to have kids understand and discover their own skills and attributes allows them to see the relevance in their educational growth! Thank you to all those that made this possible and to the Readiness Team for taking this time to dig deeper into our readiness work to bring back to the whole group to work towards our next steps to continue to Grow into Greatness.

Thank you...thank you....thank YOU to all of our parent volunteers, teacher support and the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin for making the first trip to the school forest a success! All of the BES scientists went to the forest to learn about outdoor fire safety, forest ecosystem, and make smores. Fromusing foraging pouches to collect items to walking the Tom Holden Trail, the kids had an amazing time. The next forest outing is scheduled for January so watch for upcoming information and we can't wait to have you join us!!
