2nd Grade has been celebrating Holidays Around the World...Sweden, Australia, Italy, Israel, India, and Mexico. They've enjoyed taking a plane ride to each country and watching themselves land in that country's airport on YouTube. Everytime they landed they had their "passport" stamped and added new information to their travel cases! They even made a Christmas Koala in Australia and a Gnome in Sweden. They've learned a lot and have had so much fun!

First grade has been busy over the past month learning about the 16 career clusters and future job pathways. Now that our students have discovered attributes and skills connected to themselves, they are able to identify attributes of workers inside each cluster. Our goal is to set up our students for life success and give them understanding of their purpose. Each student chose careers they were interested in and we are now showcasing them in our 1st grade hallway as a reminder of a future goal they have!

Enjoy walking the illuminated Tom Holden trail at Memorial Park and school forest. Dress for being outside and go at your own pace, once or multiple times. There will also be a fire warming station and hot cocoa (as long as it lasts!). Come and go as you please, but make sure all children are with an adult. Hope to see you there! 4K has been utilizing our outdoor learning space in this wonderful winter weather. They are exploring and investigating and being scientists. Their new vocabulary includes predictions and decomposition. Students are making predictions about the weather and what will happen to the pumpkins that we put in our garden area! In addition, they have been looking at patterns in nature. They've seen lots of discoveries while engaging with nature.

3rd grade classes have been traveling internationally with their passports! Students have been learning about the countries they "visit" and the winter sport that originated there. Students also enjoyed fun STEAM excursions while visiting those countries, like table hockey when they were in Canada.
