Well Check Wednesday!
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year. Anxiety disorders are highly treatable, yet only 36.9% of those suffering receive treatment. If you would like resources for how to help you or someone in your family with anxiety, please reach out to our school counselors who can help with providing appropriate resources.

May is Mental Health Month
Everyone feels sad or low sometimes. These feelings usually pass with a little time. Depression——is a mood disorder where symptoms last for at least two weeks. These affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, social interactions and school/work. Children as young as the age of three can show signs of depression. 1 in 20 children will experience depression before the age of 18. If you have concerns about your child and depression. Please feel free to reach out to one of our school counselors.

May is Mental Health Month
The pre-teen and teen years are a roller coaster of emotions and behaviors. This makes it hard for parents to decide if what behaviors they are seeing are cause for concern or normal. If you have questions about your child's behavior please feel free to reach out to our school counselors.
